最近外国人である事をよく再認識させられる。１週間に立て続けに外国人アーティストだからという理由でいろんな人から連絡があったりした。そしてその人達もオランダに住む外国人だったり。同じ立場の者として日本人アーティストがどのようにオランダで活動しているのか興味があるのだろうか？

『最近の私の作品はすべて、二つの対比する言葉「内側」と「外側」という観念から派生するコンセプトの延長である。「内側」と「外側」とは社会生活中で感じる自己との他者との距離や違いの境目である。それは目に見えるものではなく、ムードや環境によって境目は近寄ってきたり遠ざかったりする。

I am beginning an artist in residence in Den Dolder from August 2007. The residence is called “Het Vijfde Seizoen”located in the same aria as a complex of a psychiatric institution “Willem Arntsz Hoeve” and the artist are encouraged to work with patients during the three months of the residence period.
