We had two elderly women in the workshop today. They are not physically able to do the balloons themselves. One woman can not move her hands easily and another has poor vision. We decided instead that Erika would interview them about their histories while I recorded their stories in text on the inside walls of the balloons.
Some examples from their stories:
—I remember well the fire when Rotterdam was bombed during the world war II. I was four years old at that time and ever since then I can’t stand the smoke from BBQ.
—When I came to this institution I had to leave my pets behind. Priests have let my pets go away. I found them not so nice at that time.
